A honeymoon boff in a remote forest glen comes to have dramatic consequences in the grisly B-horror vehicle The Calling (2000). When Kristie St. Clair (Laura Harris) agrees to give it up to Marc (Richard Lintern), she has no idea that their amorous encounter will cause her to spawn the kind of satanic baby that would give The Omen’s Damian the creeps. The kid (Alex Roe-Brown) leaves quite a swath of destruction behind, including human sacrifices, grisly murders, and more. Fortunately director Richard Caesar offers a bit of a reprieve by coaxing co-star Rachel Shelley into dropping her threads for a gratuitous soak in a netherworld hot tub.
