With comic-book characters the likes of Superman, Batman and the Incredible Hulk being used as fodder for Hollywood exploitation, it is right, just and arousing that one of pulp art's all-time sexiest sirens be elevated to the big screen in Vampirella (1996). Archetypal fiery brunette bombshell Talisa Soto stars as "Ella," the busty descendant of a Vampire tribe that originated long, long ago on a planet far, far away. En route to Earth, Ella had a stopover of a few centuries on Mars, which somehow accounts for her signing up with the third planet’s vampire hunters in a concerted and entertaining effort to hunt down and exterminate renegade factions of her ancestral bloodsuckers.
