The titular softcore heroine who helped define erotic cinema in the '70s gets a whole new bag in Emmanuelle 2000: Emmanuelle's Intimate Encounters (2000). Emmanuelle, who is played this time by Holly Sampson, reputed high-class escort and one of the mistresses of golf great Tiger Woods, volunteers to be a guinea pig in the sexual experiments of a paraplegic female scientist (Shauna O’Brien) and have as much sex with as many partners as possible. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.
