The German made-for-TV film Luftpiraten - 113 Passagiere in Todesangst (2000) revolves around a group of terrorists who plan to highjack a plane. As the plot unfolds there are the usual close calls and near interceptions by the authorities, but once the event actually takes place, the pace picks up and it becomes an above-average piece of filmmaking.
