Rodolfo de Anda’s sci-fi spoof El Macho bionico (1981) could just as easily have been titled 2001: A Sex Odyssey. Andrés García stars as a swaggering playboy with a voracious appetite for the opposite sex. When a freak plane crash leaves the lothario impotent, he decides to undergo exploratory surgery that will render him the world’s first “bionic stud”. Before long the Robo-Casanova has his sights set on foxy mamacitas like Isela Vega, a veteran of Sam Peckinpah westerns. Vega takes a carefree stroll in her beautiful birthday suit in one particularly memorable scene.
