A guy should know better than to pick up a hitchhiking French actor. Patrick McGaw isn’t thinking in Scorpion Spring (1997), though, and soon finds himself embroiled in murder and more, thanks to his new pal Alfred Molina--oh, and two more scary hitchhikers that he picks up while driving across the American desert. Man, this must be one lonely guy. Things get really complicated, but it all leads to a big drug rendezvous at the titular destination. You might come sooner, though, once you check out a surprising turn by rising young starlet Tamara Mello.
