A British child born in India’s racially diverse Malabar Coast in the 1950s is offered a taste of the good life when his mommy’s milk sacks malfunction. A skintillating Indian maid, known as Cotton Mary (1999), rushes to the baby’s aid and takes him to suckle from the duckle of her wet-nurse sister to sustain his life. Although the poor lad is too young to know that Mary is really a scary Anglophobe longing to control the lives of her white employees, he suck-cessfully appreciates the multitude of multi-colored mams that come his way.
