Based on a popular novel by Jean-Michel Nakache, Le Raisin d'or (1994) stars Pierre Arditi as a gracious hedonist who throws money at lavish feasts, fine wine, and raucous community celebrations. His family is overjoyed by their happy, carefree lifestyle until the good-natured man unexpectedly dies and his shocking debts are revealed. Christiana Réali stars as one of the libidinous revelers whose stock hits bottom when the old man croaks. Fortunately the camera captures her prior to the fall, as she frolics naked in a country pond.
