A bit like Election (1999) meets High School Musical (2006) with a completely offbeat sense of humor, the Fox series Glee is set in a typical Ohio high school where the jocks and cheerleaders rule the school—and get all the after-school funding. But when Spanish teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) takes over the cash-strapped and socially unpopular glee club and they start sexing up the school with songs like Kanye West's "Golddigger" and Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It," all the kids want to learn to sing. In addition to co-ed cuties, Jane Lynch shows up as the ballbusting cheer coach, and Jessalyn Gilsig and Jayma Mays compete for teach's affection.
