Made just a few short years before the Berlin Wall came down, Der Boss aus dem Westen (1985) unfolds in an era when relations between West and East Germany were beginning to thaw. Alexander Radszun stars as Harry, a successful industrialist who travels to the German Democratic Republic on business. There he meets Jessica (Barbara Auer), a sultry young woman who convinces him to forget, temporarily, about his business dealings and his nagging wife. Auer makes quite the convincing pitch in a couple of heart-quickening sex scenes, playing naked but hard-to-get for obviously enamored Radszun.
