Written and directed by and starring David Heavener, Angel Blade (2002) is the story of a cop obsessed. He's obsessed with a string of gruesome prostitute murders, where the victims were not only pregnant but wearing Angel underwear. His investigation leads him into the underbelly of the Las Vegas sex underground, where Margot Kidder sells the panties, Kathleen Pederson works as a topless receptionist at a seedy motel, and Amanda Righetti is a lingerie model who wears the killer's favorite brand. Amanda not only models the skimpy thongs but wears decidedly less in very hot and disturbing sex scenes with Heavener. It's a heated noir that mixes bondage and other extreme sexual expressions into a pants boiler of a hit.
