Bob le magnifique (1998) is billed as a comedy, a romance, and even a family film. The made-for-TV picture gives viewers an idea of how good guys have it in France. Sadly, this film has never been translated into English or provided with subtitles, so who can tell what’s really happening here. Not that it really matters when one of the main things happening is a stirring in viewers’ private regions whenever Clotilde Courau appears onscreen. It helps that she exposes her mini-mams for Bob. If this is the kind of film the French take their families to, imagine what they see as adults. Oh, wait, we know. Yes, guys in France have it very good.
