Dirty Pretty Things (2002) concerns the goings on at a no-tell motel in London. The place is populated by fringe employees, like Audrey Tautou, a maid, and the black doorman, both of whom are illegal immigrants. The doorman is actually a doctor in his native land and is coaxed into removing people’s kidneys for the disreputable manager to sell on the black market in exchange for a passport. Audrey is tempted, which is good, because it provides the film with its only glimpse of skin. But Mr. Skin would rather buy a boob.
