Think you’ve seen some wild stuff on Telemundo? Then hold on to your telenovelas, fellas, and brace yourself for the sexy Spanish comedy El grito en el cielo (1998). Maria Conchita Alonso stars as Miranda Vega, a talk-show host whose ratings are in el baņo. So to perk up her sagging market share, Miranda brings together a motley crew of hookers, junkies, junkie hookers, freaks, crazies, and lesbian “karate artiste” Soraya (Malena Gutierrez) for a wild and crazy variety hour. But when Miranda’s rivalry with Soraya’s girlfriend Marta (Loles Leon) gets out of hand, so does her show.

Maria Conchita will make you say “yowza!” when she bares an impressive set of turkey timers changing in front of a mirror. Those knobs are El great-o!
