Within a frame story set aboard a spacecraft in the twenty-second century, the horror flick Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996) tells the story of the puzzle box at the center of the Hellraiser films that opens the gates of Hell and unleashes the demonic Pinhead (Doug Bradley) and his Cenobites. Beginning with the box’s creation in eighteenth-century France by a toymaker named Phillip Lemarchand (Bruce Ramsay), the movie follows the descendants of L’Merchant, a twentieth-century architect named John Merchant (Bruce Ramsay) and a twenty-second-century scientist named Paul Merchant (Bruce Ramsay), as they try to undo the damage done by their ancestor. Chilean babe Valentina Vargas shows skin as the demoness Angelique, and that will raise some hell in your pants.
