Red Sands (2009) chronicles a platoon of seven soldiers in Afghanistan who seem to be dying of boredom in the middle of the desert. Excitement arrives after one of the grunts blasts a statue and a mysterious woman known only as The Shape (Mercedes Masohn) wanders in among them. One by one, the soldiers experience hallucinations and suffer bizarre fatalities at the hand of the ancient evil they unwittingly unleashed. Brightening Red Sands’s dark tale of war-torn horror is Sarah Doolan, who busts out her pink glands.
