Review
There were plenty of films inspired by the Manson Murders, but I Drink Your Blood (1970) is a particularly amazing tale of homicidal hippies. The cultish creeps begin by generally terrorizing the decent folks in a small town. The evil leader even thinks nothing of dosing an old man with LSD. Too bad those long-haired losers didn’t account for the old man’s grandson, who makes a heapin’ helpin’ of hostility in the form of meat pies tainted with a rabid dog’s blood. The hippies enjoy the meal, but it’s a bummer once the pies turn them into drooling lunatics on a wild death spree. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch--expect, that is, for the naked nubile disciples played by Iris Brooks and Jadine Wong. We’d like to see them get a second chance. Same goes for legendary skinema star Lynn Lowry, showing up unbilled and unclothed before moving on to amazing films such as Sugar Cookies (1973) and Score (1973).
