Based on "What I Did on My Summer Vacation," a popular Esquire article by Scott Anderson, The Hunting Party (2007) follows a pack of journalists trying to track down a Bosnian war criminal. They're not in it for justice or duty or human rights, oh no—they're in for the kicks, baby. And the $5 million bounty doesn't hurt either. The three hunters in question are Terrence Howard, a hotshot cameraman; Richard Gere, a has-been journo; and Jesse Eisenberg, a rookie reporter who's just been sprung from Harvard and is hungry for big adventure. Together they go after "The Fox" (Ljubomir Kerekes), but fate outfoxes them and leaves them dealing with underworld no-goods, inhospitable locals, and an unfortunate case of mistaken identity that has the UN thinking they're CIA assassins.
