Review
Who knew that the best mystery film of the year would take place in sixteenth-century Spain? The producers of Day of Wrath (2006), that’s who. The story concerns Christopher Lambert as a sheriff on the trail of murder most foul, but to tell more would be a disservice to the extraordinary plot. It’s a real edge-of-your-seat chiller, as well as an edge-of-your-pants thriller thanks to native beauty Blanca Marsillach as Carmen de Jaramillo. This time may be considered the Dark Ages by history scholars, but Blanca sheds some much needed light on the more carnal aspects of the period with her bathing scene. Looks more like the Dirty Ages to Mr. Skin.
