The low-budget Mexican actioner Dos de abajo (1983) is one of a slew of films that handsome lead actor Valentin Trujillo manned in the 1980s. Gilberto Gazcón’s film hews to the familiar formula, mixing zany dialogue and physical comedy with a robust adventure plot and romantic intrigue. Normally Trujillo only had one actress to play foil, but here he’s given three. Hilda Aguirre, Blanca Guerra, and Patricia Rivera all prove to be handfuls in revealing scenes that boast plenty of stripped-down delights.
