Three days of the week, three beautiful women––those are the winning ingredients that go into making the smutty Italian omnibus film Sabato, domenica e venerd́ (1979) a success. Conceived in three parts, the film relates three tales of contemporary Milan, starring European sex-film goddesses Barbara Bouchet, Lova Moor, and Edwige Fenech. On Saturday (Sabato) an accountant is thrown for a loop when the Japanese engineer he’s sent to work with turns out to be a statuesque bombshell (Fenech). On Sunday (Domenica) a suicidal young beauty (Bouchet) receives aid from a benevolent truck driver. Finally on Friday (Venerdi) a popular pole dancer (Moor) quits the business to marry a gangster, prompting her burlesque-show-operating boss to make a pitch for her return. Regardless of the day, Bouchet, Moor, and Fenech boast enough supple treasures to carry skin fans happily through the week.
