Dane Cook is a funny man, but who knew that if you jumped into the sack with him the next man you met would be your true love? That’s the clever premise of Good Luck Chuck (2007), an old-fashioned comedy that is old-fashioned in harking back to the days when lust was tied to laughs. Here, Cook has fallen in love with everyone’s favorite sex symbol, Jessica Alba, one of the only women in the cast who doesn’t take off her clothes. Those who do include Simone Bailly, Carrie Fleming, Tammy Morris, Jessica Olafson, Chelan Simmons, Zara Taylor, Yasmine Vox, and Annie Wood. Whew, that’s a lot of skin. Forget Chuck, good luck to you in getting through this comedy without breaking your funny bone—or your boner.
