Marcus D. Shelby is ex-soldier-turned-fuzz Jeff Starken, a tortured type on the trail of a killer in This Hollow Sacrament (2006). Poor Marc was a prisoner of war during Desert Storm, so his torment comes naturally—he's not just putting on the pouty thing to score with pretty young things. Marc's fallen for April Potter, the nurse who helped him heal his hurts, but his timing is terrible, as there's a super-sicko serial killer out there and Marc and his partner are unfortunate enough to be on the case. The psycho in question is snuffing sexually abused women all over town, trying his hand at torture in ways that are all too familiar to the one man who can stop him. Can Marc get this psycho in the clink-o and get back to what's important, like joining April (who bares all three B’s) in some featherbed mambo?
