Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar’s drama High Heels (1991) stars Marisa Paredes as a woman who returns to her home after spending several years acting in Madrid to find that one of her ex-boyfriends is now married to her grown daughter (Victoria Abril), a TV newscaster. Now mother and daughter have to repair their relationship and deal with the man caught in the middle.
