Bruno and Stella are deeply in love, but things go astray when Bruno suspects Stella of sleeping with Bruno’s brother Petrus. Strangely, Bruno seems to get some satisfaction from the thought of his wife and his brother together, and he makes sure that it happens. In Le Cocu magnifique (1999), complication piles on complication, and when WWII breaks out, it’s possible that Bruno and Stella are lost to each other forever. Isabelle Carré flashes a stellar pair of pineapples as hubby watches.
