The complex Dutch drama A Thousand Kisses (2006) stars Tijn Docter as Giph, a headstrong lothario who is poised to end things with his medical-student/fashion-model girlfriend, Samarinde (Carice van Houten), while they’re partying it up on vacation. Giph is a renowned writer, but he has trouble finding the proper words when it comes to communication off the page. Complicating matters is that the health of his mother, Lotti (Catherine ten Bruggencate), is deteriorating from multiple sclerosis. While all this may sound heavy, keep in mind that A Thousand Kisses is perked up repeatedly by female Netherlander knockouts prancing about nude. Talk about Dutch treats!
