A wooden puppet wreaks havoc on the family of a hapless D.A. in the low-budget horror thriller Pinocchio's Revenge (1996). After unsuccessfully defending a menacing serial killer, defense attorney Jennifer Garrick (Rosalind Allen) accepts a most unusual gift from her client. Disastrously, Garrick’s daughter Zoe (Brittany Alyse Smith) mistakes the present--a leering wooden doll--as a new toy, and the spooky creature quickly gains possession of the innocent girl. Buckets of blood are shed in Kevin Tenney’s B-thriller, but it’s the skin that deserves a second look. Allen and co-star Candace McKenzie both contribute some mesmerizing reveals.
