Eyes of a Stranger (1981) stars Lauren Tewes (better known as Julie from The Love Boat) as a crusading Miami anchorbabe out to catch a killer. Seems a real psycho is going nutso on women in the city, and Lauren has a hunch that it's her neighbor, John Di Santi. Becoming obsessed, with real Rear Window (1954) gusto, Lauren takes to breaking into the guy's abode in search of clues, later going so far as to calling him up to taunt him. Unfortunately for Lauren, her little sister, Tracy (Jennifer Jason Leigh in her film debut), is being stalked by the bad guy . . . and happens to be deaf, dumb, and mute. Can Lauren save her little Hellen Keller from becoming Hellen Kill-her?
