Mercy (2000) is a serial killer plot populated by lipstick lesbians who are often wearing nothing more than the rosy paint on their pouting mouths. Ellen Barkin is the detective on the case. That case happens to revolve around Peta Wilson, who drops the Nikita and is all femme as she tempts Ellen with the joys of girl-girl sex. Ellen never loses the trenchcoat of her profession, but Peta, as one of a troupe of tawdry lesbian call-girls, is skinful enough for two.
