Taiwanese auteur and provocateur Ming-liang Tsai’s The Wayward Cloud (2005) features the director’s regular leading man, Lee Kang-sheng (the Jimmy Stewart to his Hitchcock), as a porn star in a story set in a world where a water shortage has television programs encouraging the public to drink watermelon juice instead of water. The film contains lots of explicit imagery, including a climactic scene of Kang-sheng pulling his pecker out of a comatose porn star and putting it into his girlfriend’s mouth and a sequence in which he fingers a watermelon between a woman’s legs. This one will have you spitting seeds for sure!
