One More Round (2005) tells the tale of middling middle-ager Roy Jahangard, an out-of-shape slob who feels like nothing more than a cog and gets treated, for the most part, like a dog. Even his dear old gramps refuses to see him when he pays a visit to the old-folks home! Roy and his too-big rump are the butt of many a crack made by his obnoxiously macho co-worker Owen McKibbin, and it finally gets so exasperating that Roy accepts a dare to enter an amateur boxing tournament. Yeah, that oughta shut that strutty punk up. He hires a trainer, drops thirty pounds, and gets his buns in gear, but how will he fare outside of the ring? Will the fairer sex come calling? One More Round is Rocky (1976) revamped for the man who feels more like a cubicle boob than an Italian stallion.
