This straight-faced fright flick is only barely related to the first two madcap, over-the-top Return of the Living Dead films and likely would have more of a following if it bore an original name. Mesmerizing Mindy Clarke and her boyfriend sneak into a secret test of gas that can reanimate corpses. When Mindy accidentally dies shortly thereafter, her beau makes use of the opportunity to revive her. But when his beloved bounds back, she goes though some changes that gets the gore flowing: hers and everyone else’s.
