A pair of frumpy middle-aged suburbanites (Shanna Reed and George Wendt) are the last people an inner-city boarding-house proprietor expects to see when he opens his front door in Alien Avengers (1996), a blissfully schlocky Roger Corman B-treasure. When the couple introduces their leggy blonde bombshell of a daughter (Anastasia Sakelaris), the man is too gaga to realize that his new tenants are a family of space aliens. So begins a sci-fi oddity in which the Cheers star and his ornery wife set to work dispensing vigilante violence in the ghettos of Los Angeles while the uncommonly beautiful Sakelaris flashes oodles of gratuitous skin.
