Lonely weirdies Jemaine Clement and Loren Horsley are looking for love in the kingdom of quirkdom in Oscar-nominee New Zealander Taika Cohen's wacky romantic comedy Eagle vs Shark (2007). Nerdlinger supreme Jemaine earns his keep as an electronics store clerk; Loren flips burgers at the Meaty Boy where Jemaine comes to stuff his face. Love blossoms for the lonesome twosome when a freshly fired Loren decides to don her best shark suit and crash Jemaine's "come as your favorite animal" shindig, where she tickles his fancy and proves her video-game prowess. The couple grows closer as Jemaine plots to head homeward to exact revenge on an old bully with his new lady in tow, but what will happen when his off-kilter kin enter the picture?
