An amped-up Roy Scheider stars as Detective Mike Seaver in the enjoyably lurid, Houston-set thriller Night Game (1989). It seems that every time a certain Astros pitcher wins a match, a serial killer takes another victim. Seaver must frantically make the other connections tying the slayings to the baseball team, all the while trying to prevent another murder from happening. Suspense builds to a thunderous climax, but its nicely leavened by naked nippage from Karen Young.
