In the gripping psycho-thriller A Kiss So Deadly (1996), a beautiful college coed doesn’t realize that her roommate’s murder only marks the beginning of her troubles. Catherine (Dedee Pfeiffer) shares a luxurious condo with friends June (Noelle Parker) and Amanda (Charlotte Ross), until the evening that the latter is found savagely murdered. Reeling over the news, Catherine soon starts to suspect that her father (Charles Shaughnessy) might have something to do with the perky coed’s demise. When some racy snapshots turn up showing dad and Amanda in coital embrace, Catherine flips and decides to get to the bottom of the mystery. Chuck Bowman’s made-for-TV movie is a darkly erotic thriller that gets plenty of mileage out of its mostly female cast. Pfeiffer and Ross are particularly luxuriant as they treat the men in their life--young and middle-aged--to sultry, pulse-quickening encounters.
