Tired of writing fluff like Chinatown (1974) and Shampoo (1975), Robert Towne made his directorial debut with Personal Best (1982), an examination of the plight of young lesbian track stars. Actually, it’s kind of an impressive serious drama. Your cock, however, will be making an impression on your inseam as teammates Mariel Hemingway and Patrice Donnelly engage in some lesbianic locker room loving. There’s also some competitive tension between the two young ladies. Male viewers, however, will clearly come out in front at relieving their own tension.
