The serial killer exults in a surge of power when he takes the life of a defenseless, innocent young woman, but no murderer is safe so long as his victim’s father remains alive. When that figure of paternal vengeance comes to the aid of a baffled FBI agent, then the homicidal predator himself enters into a Time of Fear (2002). A small town in California is the setting for this electrifying battle of wits and wills. Good sees little hope of triumphing over evil, until the federal cop and the avenging dad pump a local priest for help decoding their prey’s taunting clues. Then all hell breaks loose, and the devil himself is bound to lose.
