Japanese bombshell Mariko Kaga spices up the start of the workweek in the seminal Asian drama Only on Mondays (1964). Kaga stars as Yuka, a beautiful young woman living in the cosmopolitan city of Yokohama. Working weeknights as an exotic dancer and spending days with her businessman boyfriend (Takeshi Kato) doesn’t leave Yuka with much time to cultivate family connections––the thrust of the conflict in Kô Nakahira’s well-regarded domestic drama. Sadly the wispy Kaga never reveals the full extent of her fleshy treasures, but she does offer a hint of a glimpse during a cuddling scene with Kato.
