Alternately dubbed The Edge of Hell, John Fasano’s B-horror classic Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare (1987) plays like This Is Spinal Tap (1984) crossed with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), but with a distinctly north-of-the-border flavor. Real-life metal frontman Jon-Mikl Thor polishes his biceps to play the hero in this satanic hair-metal fantasy, replete with ax solos and axe wounds. In addition to acting, Thor had a hand in the casting and screenwriting, which explains why he gets so many sex scenes with Canadian bombshells Jillian Peri and Teresa Simpson.
