Death of a G (2006) is almost Shakespearean in its exploration of the ties that bind. It follows a group of friends, one whom grows up to be a detective investigating one of his friends. The friend under investigation has taken over his murdered brother’s illegal business operation and is on a blood-fueled quest to find his sibling’s killer and seek revenge. The shades between black and white are many but never dull the exciting plot or the stimulating subplots, one of which includes the aptly named Yum Yum in a love scene that will likely mean the death of an S, as in sperm.
