There may have been studios that did it first, but few mix comedy and horror motifs better than Troma. They take a post-modernist approach in Terror Firmer (1999) in which Lloyd Kaufman, the founder of Troma and the director of this project, plays the director of the latest Toxic Avenger sequel for Troma Films. The blood and guts are supplied by a mystery woman murdering the crew, while the tits and the ass are supplied by big-breasted Carla Burden, little-breasted Alyce LaTourelle, and Scream Queen Debbie Rochon. Even if you've already seen the movie it's worth a second look thanks to a DVD special feature that exposes the big hitters of Bella Compagna. Troma just keeps on giving until it hurts so good.
