It's the age-old question: Are you going to be taking it up the ass or taking it to the streets? A recent college grad with a fast-track job to corporate success waiting for him on the other side of his diploma takes a side trip South of the Border to cut loose before getting tethered to a nine-to-five in Americano (2005). Along the way he's charmed by a spicy temptress in the alluring (and naked, when she goes skinning dipping) form of Leonor Varela. With a carrot like that you know what stick's going to follow, but the film still provides some tension as to what decision he'll make in this well-acted and moving coming-of-age film. The deal is done, of course, by the time his friend Ruthanna Hopper, the real-life daughter of co-star Dennis Hopper, takes it off for a naked dip with Leonor.
