A TV clown and his grouchy sidekick embark on a surreal odyssey across contemporary Los Angeles in the offbeat indie comedy 13 Moons (2002). Steve Buscemi and Peter Dinklage star as Banana and Binky, a dysfunctional clown duo to rival Krusty and Sideshow Bob. In addition to trying to keep his ex-wife (Jennifer Beals) away from his current squeeze (Karyn Parsons), Banana’s on the hunt for an organ donor for a bail-bondsman’s sick son. Alexandre Rockwell’s quirky tapestry also includes a hip-hop mogul, a gutter-dwelling drunk, and others, but it’s Parsons and co-star Lorelei Leslie that you’ll want to keep an eye on. Both actresses show heaps of flesh as they work their mojo before Rockwell’s roving camera.
