The "O" in Amy's O (2001) stands for orgasm, which is reason enough to give this flick a chance. Writer/director/star Julie Davis plays a nationally renowned self-help author who's inability to find Mr. Right has led her to publish a treatise on why love doesn't work. Of course that doesn't stop her from having an affair with Ms. Right, a lesbian played by Caroline Aaron. But most of the story revolves around a local shock jock, Nick Chinlund, whom she interviews with and then begins a steamy flirtation. Along the way, Julie shares a brief topless scene, but considering the ribald nature of the film, there is little skin. Kira Reed offers some nice cleavage. But Amy's O is about turning on that sexiest of organs . . . the mind.
