One schorching ’70s summer in London, Holly (Michelle Williams) and Marina (Anna Friel) make a childhood pact to stay pals forever in Me Without You (2001). As the pretty pair grows up and out, Marina becomes double the trouble by digging drugs and self-destruction, while timid Holly sits trapped in a shell of hell over her better-looking buddy’s fine features and flair for life. Despite their differences, the two stay stuck like glue, eventually becoming the very breast of friends when they enjoy a sisterly Sapphic soak while sudsing in a tub.
