Pushing Daisies stars Lee Pace as Ned, a feller who can raise the dead. He does it by touching them, but there's a catch—the people he touches only stay alive for a minute before something of the same "life value" drops dead nearby. And there's a second catch that turns out to be even worse for Lee: If he touches the lucky Lazarus a second time, that person goes back to permanent beddy-bye. This becomes a problem when he resurrects his old sweetheart Anna Friel, who falls for him again but can never, ever touch him. Together, Lee, Anna, private eye Chi McBride, and a waitress at the place Lee makes pies work together to use Lee's gift to revive murder victims long enough to tell them who slayed them.
