Katherine Brooks plays a struggling writer in Hollywood who immerses herself in study for her story, that of a dominatrix, in Surrender (2003). It’s good work if you can get it, and Katherine gets it good. Soon Julie Clay, her hometown friend, arrives to crash, and Katherine tries out her kinky research on the nubile newbie. A murder at one of the underground clubs the girls frequent complicates matters and reverses the pecking order in this fascinating and erotic thriller. But even if it were just endless loops of Katherine and Julie showing off their dirty laundry, that would be enough to place this atop the hierarchy of hot movies.
