Based on an acclaimed novel by Tomiko Miyao, the multiple award winning Kirûin Hanako no shôgai (1982) is a Japanese gangster epic set in the early years of the twentieth century. Hideo Gosha’s opus chronicles the rise and fall of a mob boss who rules the Japanese town of Shikoku with an iron fist. Businessmen, law-enforcement officials, and other criminals all cower before him, and few suspect that he possesses a secret weakness. That weakness is his adopted teen daughter, a nubile beauty named Matsue (Masako Natsume). As their relationship grows inappropriately close, the powerful crime lord exposes a weakness that could be key to ending his reign. It’s not hard to believe how Natsume’s beauty could crush a man--you needn’t look farther than her kimono-ripping reveal for hard evidence. And once you’ve recovered, there are also arousing flesh flashes from the likes of Akiko Kana and Mari Natsuki.
