What do the dancers in the chorus line do once the theater lights go black? That's the question asked in this powerful look at the backstage lives of the Broadway hoofers. Our leading man is a bit of a heel, though, when he makes his redheaded coworker, Pamella Berkeley, pay for the sex they just had. Thankfully we are treated to a free flash of her full rack. Kristin Moreu plays the long-suffering girlfriend, who provides a shadowy look at her waif-thin chest. A real Great White Way player, Denise Faye, has one of the movie’s hottest sex scenes, and Yvonne Racz doesn't do too bad herself between the sheets. All in all, The Next Step (1997) is sure-footed when it comes to skin.
